Elimination of electric charge during unwinding the foil from the roll

Problem: In a company producing foils had a problem with a strong electric charge, which before winding the foil into the roll caused bonding of foil together, resulting into rewinding and tearing of foil. This caused depreciation of the entire roll. Tearing of foil led to the reduction of the production and customer had around 15 % of loss. Moreover, the employees received electric shocks during handling with the machine and foil at a distance of 200 mm.

Solution: Our sales and technical representative suggested application of ionising bar FRASER NEOS 12L.

Used product: Anti-Static Ionising Bar NEOS 12 L in a length 2280 mm by Fraser Anti-Static Techniques. The NEOS range of static eliminators is a major advance in industrial static control technology. NEOS intelligence monitors and reacts to the static charge by emitting the quantity and balance of ions to neutralise it. The combination of NEOS intelligence with intense ion generation creates static eliminators for the most demanding applications.

The resulting benefit: By applying ionising bar NEOS 12L we helped our customer to solve a problem with bonding of the foil and we helped him to eliminate the strong electric charge. With our solution he has now continuous production without downtime, no waste from rupture rolls and of course quality products. We completely eliminated electric shocks that machine operators received during the handling with the foil. With this solution customer save 15 % of loss in the production.
