Problem: The customer manufactures cables. In the process of labeling manufactured cables, the color from the printing head didn´t stick to the surface of the cable. This caused the creation of the small balls on the cable, which caused that the information was blurred and unreadable. This effect occured mostly during the dry and warm weather. Our sales and technical representative measured on the surface of the cable the electric charge up to 150 kV. Because of these problems they had to stop the production line very often, cut the inappropriate meters of cables and they had 10 % loss in production.

Solution: Before printing head that marked the date and other information on the cable, we have placed ionising electrode Fraser 1260. The electrode at a distance of only a few centimeters from the problematic place of printing reliably eliminated high electric charge.

Used product: Ionising electrode Fraser 1260 with the power supply HP-50 from Fraser Anti-Static Techniques. It is very compact, high performance static eliminators suitable for neutralising the static charge on small objects and in restricted spaces.

The resulting benefit: By installing the ionising electrode we eliminated an electric charge that caused that informations on the surface of the cable were unreadable and blurred. We solved the problem with the frequent stop of production process and thanks to our solution the production runs without any interruptions. We have completely removed the loss on products that before our solutions customers calculated to be 10 %.
