Problem: In a company producing furniture needed to eliminate electric charge before applying foil on the furniture. This electrostatic charge caused sticking of dust on the foil, which led to the creation of bulges and aesthetic defects. We measured on the foil the electric charge from 15 up to 60 kV.

Solution: We proposed to the costumer use ionised airgun, which helped them to eliminate electric charge on the foil and also removed dust from the foil, which caused bulges on the surface of the furniture.

Used product: Ionised Airgun 4125 Fraser Anti-Static Techniques. The 4125 is most powerful airgun for neutralising static electricity and removing dust and other contaminants.  It is available in two variants for top or bottom air feed.

The resulting benefits: Thanks to our solution the costumer not only get rid of dust from the surface of the foil, but we have reduced the number of his aesthetically imperfect pieces of furniture that were before our solution unseleable. We reduced material losses and defects on the furniture caused by dust on the foil up to 60 %.

Method of implementation: Before applying our solution we made testing of product directly in the production process. Our customer was very satisfied with the result and after ordering the ionised airgun he made an installation by himself.
