Problem: In a company producing plastic parts had a problem with dust sticking to the plastic product. It used to happen that before welding the lower plastic part with the top transparent plastic part the dust stuck to it and got inside of the finished product. They had to throw this product away because it was not possible to clean it.
Solution: Our sales and technical representative proposed solution in the form of ionizing air knives along with air regulator and sensor that triggers air. We proposed to place air knives to the mounting structure where all the plastic parts are taken from the crates. The operator, who connect together two plastic parts will blow them with ionized air, connect them together and put them into the machine. Our other solution for the customer is the ionised air blower above the truck, where individual parts are located in the boxes. This eliminates static electricity and creates clean room.
Used product: For this kind of problem we proposed to use various products to eliminate static electricity by Fraser Anti-Static Techniques. One of them are ionised air knives 5000 producing fast-moving ionised air which can neutralise static electricity and remove contaminants. Another one is the ionised air blower 2050.
The resulting benefits: With our solution the customer achieved clean plastic parts before welding. We helped him to reduce number of bad products, which eventually saves his money. We did the similar solution to the customer in May 2016 and helped him to improve production. From 960 produced pieces per day around 50 pieces were unable to use. After installing our solution, we helped him to reduce these unusable pieces to 10 per day. The mistakes are not caused by dust inside but by other reasons.
